Twist Gallery represents
a growing number of talented established and
emerging contemporary Canadian artists. Owner, Howard Gurevich has
been a lover and collector of art since his early teens. He has a keen eye
and broad tastes, encouraging artists and collectors to explore new dimensions.
His eclectic view means the gallery shows a wide range of styles and
subject matter. The common threads are excellence, accessibility and affordability.
Twist provides the discriminating buyer and the novice access
to many original works both in the gallery and through its network.
Many people are intimidated by the gallery experience. Twist goes against
that grain. Our space is relaxed and friendly and everyone is welcome to
express their opinion.
Twist also has exclusive rights with many of its artists to provide reproductions
in various mediums; most commonly giclée prints on canvas,
stretched and ready to hang. Giclée (pronounced Gee’clay) is a French
term meaning to spray or squirt which is how an inkjet printer works. However,
it is not your standard desktop inkjet printer. Our Giclée prints are
created from high resolution digital originals on a professional 12-Color ink
-jet printer. The giclée printing process provides better color accuracy than
other means of reproduction. In giclée printing, no screen or other mechanical
devices are used and therefore there is no visible dot screen pattern.
The image has all the tonalities and hues of the original painting. We
use special light-fast archival inks, which, if kept out of the sun, will remain
true for up to 25 years.
Twist produces its own line of stationery including greeting cards, journals
and magnets. We also offer framing and custom installation services.
